It has water on 9 holes, 34 sand bunkers and dog legs that play through the woods. This 300-acre, naturally contoured golf course is located on Highway 60 in the rural historical setting of Salem, Kentucky, within the former fluorspar-mining center of the world. One irrigation lake between holes #14 and #15 contains over a billion gallons of fresh water feeding from the natural everlasting Butler Spring nearby. The five mile concrete cart path winds through hills and beautiful trees, one being a 150 foot tall Tulip Poplar near #12 Tee-box, a rare Chestnut Oak centered in the driving range and a White Oak measuring 16 Ft. in circumference estimated to be 300 years of age on hole #8. Drake Creek Golf Course- The elite master-planned riverside community features majestic views of the Ohio River, a beautiful rolling landscape, numerous waterfront home sites, underground utilities, curbed streets, city water and sewer systems, a homeowners association and an architectural control committee. Francis E. Miller Golf Course- Frances
E. Miller Memorial Golf Course presents a unique challenge for competitive
and recreational golfers alike.
Heralded
as one of the west Kentucky lakes region's finest courses, Miller Memorial
offers a variety of challenges for the most discriminating golfer.
Edwin J.
Paxton Park Golf Course- Nice, gently rolling golf
course with the ultimate in high quality greens--Champion ultra dwarf
Bermuda. While Champion has only been on the market since 1996, it is
rapidly becoming the buzz in Bermuda circles and is even replacing bent
grass in the South on many courses that desire bent grass quality
putting surfaces and Bermuda heat tolerance. The ball rolls true and
fast on Champion, just like excellent bent grass greens. Tee boxes are
Zoysia and Bermuda. Fairways are primarily Bermuda grass.
